Having a baby is one of the most exciting times in your life and choosing your pediatrician is an important decision. We look forward to partnering with you on the exciting journey of raising a child.
If you’d like to visit our office and meet the pediatrician prior to your baby’s arrival, please contact our office for details. Covered by some insurance carriers, there is a nominal fee for a prenatal visit. Any out-of-pocket expense would be refunded as a credit toward future services here at Long Pond Pediatrics.
Education For the Expectant Parent
Between website information, how-to books, and lots of friendly advice from family and friends, it can get awfully confusing… even before the baby arrives. Don’t worry. From birth through the next 18 years or so, we’ll be there to help. Along with a staff ready to help you, we also have several handy tools at your disposal:
Prenatal packet – Filled with helpful information to guide you through those first precious weeks of life.
Lily Pad (Pediatric Advice Day or night) - This medical guide that you can keep handy by the phone, gives answers to the most often asked questions.
Our website – From the home page, click on the box marked ‘Parent Resources’. We’ve provided a number of links there that you will find very useful.
Our affiliated hospitals
You may choose to deliver your baby at any area hospital, although our affiliations are with Strong Memorial and Unity Hospitals. At Unity, we will come to the hospital to see your baby. At Strong, and all other area hospitals, your baby will be cared for by a hospital pediatrician until discharge. Please feel free to call our office if you have any questions for us prior to your baby’s arrival.
Once you arrive home, please call our office with the good news. We’ll be happy to arrange your newborn’s first visit at that time.
Again, Congratulations! Enjoy this exciting time.
